PROVISIONAL PROGRAMME The meeting will be attended by Professor Eric Bouffet, the Director of Paediatric Neuro-Oncology at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto , Canada . Professor Bouffet was recruited to the hospital in 2000 to develop and head a multidisciplinary paediatric neuro-oncology programme within the division of haematology/oncology. He is an engaging and entertaining speaker and we have asked him to talk about the development of his service, and to address the workshop on new developments in paediatric neuro-oncology. The main focus of the meeting will be a series of clinical case presentations highlighting various aspects of paediatric brain tumours. We'd like each case to be as detailed as possible with clinical data, radiology and pathology, and a number of radiologists and pathologists from the Western Cape will be in attendance.

ABSTRACTS We need our participitants to help make the meeting a success. Abstracts should take the form of clinical vignettes under the following headings “clinical data” / “imaging” / “pathology” / “clinical course.” Sponsorship for travel has been secured to support physicians outside of the Western Cape who submit such a clinical vignette. The organisers do reserve the right to request an alternative case in the event that too many cases cover the same tumours. Provisional deadline for receipt of abstracts is 1 September 2008.
